This variable polarizing filter is designed for universal use with a 1.25’’ filter thread. It allows for continuous adjustment of the image brightness, which proves very useful for individually compensating for strong contrast differences on various observed objects.

In particular during the observation of the moon and planets, but also when observing the sun (with an appropriate solar filter), this filter helps prevent the obscuration of the finest details. It is also useful with a Herschel helioscope and a large aperture objective to reduce the brightness of the observed object to a comfortable level.

The filter features a wide adjustment range of 40% to 1% light transmission and a neutral gray filtering effect, thus creating an image that is both comfortable and authentic. It is very easy to use; simply rotate the two halves of the casing to adjust the filter intensity to your liking.

The filter is made of high-quality optical glass and features a black anodized aluminum casing. It also has a 1.25’’ filter thread on both sides (inner/outer) to allow the simultaneous use of other color filters.
