Telescope Sky Watcher 130/900 on equatorial mount EQ2
Telescope Sky Watcher 130/900 on equatorial mount EQ2
The Sky-Watcher Newton 130 telescope is an ideal instrument for beginners looking to invest in a telescope that is both bright and affordable. With a primary mirror of 130mm, it collects 30% more light than a 114mm telescope, allowing you to see more details under a dark sky.
The Newton design offers several advantages over other families of instruments. Mirror manufacturing is more economical, and the focal ratio is generally lower. The central obstruction is also lower than Cassegrain-type telescopes, if collimation (mirror adjustment) is properly respected.

Equatorial Mount EQ2
The EQ2 mount allows for fine positioning on the sky thanks to flexible controls present on each axis. Clamps allow for adapting the eyepiece holder to the mount. The equatorial design allows, after setting up (simple adjustment of the mount's orientation towards the North Star), to compensate for rotation not on two axes (altazimuth mount) but only one.
