Standard mounting plate for Star Adventurer - Sky-Watcher

The standard mounting plate is mainly used to attach an optical tube or a lens, while allowing a micrometric rotation of 90° (on the axis corresponding to declination). The hardness of the rotation is adjustable using a brake and the micrometric movement is controlled by a knurled screw.

The micrometric plate, equipped with a Kodak thread (1/4"-20), is detachable. It features a dovetail with 2 screws with a Congress thread (3/8"-16) at each end, allowing the attachment of 2 independent photo ball heads, or one ball head and an optical tube.

It is quite possible to use the micrometric plate on one side and a standard ball head on the other side. The dovetail, the micrometric plate, and the 2 screws with Congress thread offer a great diversity of setups to adapt to all your needs.
