Attractive and bold, the CGEM II mount is capable of securely supporting Celestron's high-end SCT optical tubes (up to 11'') without vibration, making it ideal for visual and photographic observation. Capable of supporting a load of 18 kg and rotating at 5° per second, you will be able to instantly point to any celestial object in the database.

The CGEM II was designed to be ergonomic, with large latitude and azimuth adjustment screws for quick and easy polar alignment. The internal wiring of the AD and Dec motors provides a clean look and easy, trouble-free installation.

The CGEM II series is equipped with Celestron's innovative All-Star polar alignment procedure. All-Star allows you to precisely align the mount on any star, even if the celestial pole is not visible. Another feature of the CGEM II that will certainly please astrophotographers is the permanent correction of periodic errors (PEC).

For objects near the meridian, the CGEM II mount will track the path well beyond the meridian for uninterrupted imaging in the most ideal part of the sky. The CGEM II mount has a robust database with over 40,000 objects, 100 programmable objects, and enhanced information on over 200 objects.
