The iOptron® Photron™ Ritchey-Chrétien telescopes are equipped with low thermal expansion quartz primary and secondary mirrors with reflective dielectric coatings at 93-96%. The RC optical design provides coma-free, spherical and chromatic aberration-free results, perfect for color or monochrome imaging. A fixed primary mirror eliminates image shift that occurs with other telescope designs. The iOptron RC10 features a 3" dual-speed linear bearing Crayford focuser. Three focuser extension rings are supplied for a solid "flexure-free" extension to compensate for any unnecessary back focus. Its steel tube is equipped with 10 baffle vanes to reduce stray light and enhance the instrument for both visual observation and imaging. The RC10 model comes with top and bottom dovetail plates, adding rigidity to the tube while providing mounting points for the mount and other accessories.
