ZWO 7nm OIII Filter 2" 50.8mm - Improve your astro images with OIII
Available under 7 days
The ZWO O-III 7nm narrowband filter is specifically designed for astrophotography, focusing on a wavelength of 500nm. It can be used in combination with H-Alpha and S-II filters to achieve "Hubble-like" images. By selectively reducing the transmitted wavelengths, this filter suppresses the effects of public lighting, allowing you to improve the contrast of your astrophotographic images.
Key Features
- Targeted wavelength: 500nm (O-III)
- FWHM ("Full Width at Half Maximum") : 7nm (+/-0.5)
- Infrared cut-off: 700/1100nm
- High-quality Schott glass
- Glass thickness: 1.85mm
- Precision optical polishing to ensure a precise wavefront at lambda/4 and parallelism <30" of arc on both surfaces
- Dual-sided optical coating
- Anti-reflection treatment
Usage
- Excellent for enhancing the contrast of nebulae in CCD imaging, digital photography (unmodified and modified cameras)
- Incompatible with visual observation, film photography, webcams, and planetary videos
Construction
- CNC-machined aluminum cell for high manufacturing precision
- Available in 4 formats: threaded 31.7/50.8mm and unmounted 31mm/36mm circular
With its FWHM of 7nm, the ZWO OIII 7nm 50.8mm filter offers significant contrast compared to the sky background, on celestial objects emitting doubly ionized oxygen (diffuse/planetary nebulae). Use it to improve your astrophotographic images and achieve professional results.
