The ALccd-QHY 695A camera is equipped with the Sony ExView II ICX695 CCD sensor, offering approximately 6 megapixels and a quantum efficiency close to 80%. Combined with a two-stage active cooling system, it achieves a delta T of up to 45°C, significantly reducing thermal noise for clear images in astronomical observation.

The sensor, in Fullframe/Progressive readout, generally does not require a mechanical shutter. However, the ALccd-QHY 695A integrates a mechanical shutter to perform automated dark frames without covering the telescope. The butterfly-shaped mechanism minimizes gradients during closing and opening.

The integrated design is aimed at users looking for an all-in-one solution: camera, filter wheel, and off-axis guiding. The off-axis guiding attaches directly to the housing, ensuring a solid and twist-free fit, with a slight extension of the assembly (approximately 10 mm). The built-in USB 2.0 hub offers two USB outputs and a dual USB/RS232 converter, facilitating connections to an electric focuser, a guide camera, or your mount. A 12 V power supply (screw connector) is required for operation. The system includes a filter wheel for seven 36 mm unmounted filters.
