S-II 6.5nm 2" Filter for Nebulae and Deep Sky - Explore Scientific
Available within 7 days
The S-II 6.5nm 2" filter from Explore Scientific is designed to facilitate the observation of deep-sky objects, such as planetary nebulae, emission nebulae, and supernova remnants, even in challenging urban observation conditions. This narrowband filter blocks almost all artificial light and only allows the emission line of ionized sulfur at 672 nm to pass through, thereby revealing details invisible to the naked eye without a filter. With a bandwidth of only 6.5 nm, it significantly increases the contrast and sharpness of faint celestial objects. This filter is ideal for amateur astronomers as well as for astrophotography.

We clean up after ourselves.
Ecommerce deliveries have a carbon footprint. That's why we support verified projects that remove carbon from the air.
Every delivery’s carbon footprint is calculated based on weight, shipping method, and distance traveled. We neutralize these emissions by purchasing verified carbon removal credits from groundbreaking projects. When you add a contribution to your order, 100% of that money is used to pay for additional carbon removal.
With your purchase, you’ll join a community of proactive merchants and customers dedicated to a sustainable future. Together, we've removed emissions for over 48 million deliveries and removed over 35 thousand tonnes of carbon.
We work with a network of pioneering carbon removal companies that have been vetted by the commerce platform Shopify.
